OBL: there was not much of a market reaction when they captured the 'mastermind' last week. Market continued to trend down.

The use of OBL capture 'rumors' has been a useful tool for the market pimps for 1 1/2 years now, hell, even OBL sons works, like today.

Take away the opportunity to use the OBL 'captured' card?
Whatever market boost might occur if is is televised that OBL is in custody/dead body verified, would be short lived.

If that game has been a trump card to support these weak markets, or just to manipulate them at key supports, I doubt the duration of any capture rally, before we get down again on fundamentals.

Rather than these Fed propped-up markets in the US, I am watching another indicator of greater import, IMHO, the fall of the US Dollar against world currencies. That's a trend, and the 'rumor' is that the US still supports a strong Dollar. NOT. Dollar at 4 year low today, even with Nikkei at 20 year low and Euro economies hurting.

Got hedge for eroding value of dollars?
