If the caravan is truly in the area of Afghanistan/Pakistan that they say it is, flight options are limited....

That's true, just like when OBL used a taped message on his phone that tricked the US when he got away originally. I remember reading several cases this year and last year where the Germans, the Canadians, the Spanish, etc all were monitoring groups for extended periods of time before they made arrests. If there was an immediate danger, I am sure they would have quickly picked him up. But I still think it is interesting that this breaking right before the war. I don't care how the US are doing it, I am just glad they are making progress.
