Well, personally, I think war is immoral and is usually unjustified, especially in this era of nuclear weapons and high tech communications. I think wars are started by rich and powerful people who have their own agendas and people are fools to fight someone else's war. Empty out the country clubs and let the rich fight for once if this war against Iraq is so damn important to our survival.

I'd be the first one to fight and die to defend my country if it was under direct attack. Because, that would be a direct attack on me. But, I don't think Iraq is a direct threat to my security; I'm not buying the government's propaganda. Why wasn't Saddam such a threat in 1991 or 1994 or 1998 or 2001, why now? Determined terrorists can get their weapons from any number of sources. How about all those nukes from the old Evil Empire in the Soviet Union? I feel North Korea poses a much bigger threat than Iraq and we shouldn't have ever stopped our diplomatic efforts to keep their nuclear program under control.

Humans should evolve to a point where war is no longer necessary to settle their disputes. The U.S. is certainly not moving in that direction with this offensive war against Iraq that we are about to engage in. Our first offensive war in a very long time. Not a good precendent to set and not something I want to be a part of.
