North Korea is blackmailing the US and Bush is just accepting it.

A). US Intelligence didn't discover evidence of NK's uranium enrichment program until last spring - so says the White House. (You'll note that's after Bush's accession to office).

B). CIA estimates say NK has yet to concentrate any bomb-grade uranium. (The enrichment facilities aren't even built yet). Adequate uranium for a single bomb is still several years away at the earliest.

C). However - According to the CIA again - by reprocessing the spent fuel rods from their reactor they will be able to extract enough plutonium for perhaps 6 or more nuclear weapons this year alone , with ability for many more to follow.

That is the 'crisis'.

If you think NK going nuclear isn't a huge threat... then you are crazy.

Yup. Saddam stated clearly to Dan Rather in that goofy interview that he had no illegal missiles. One week later, he is destroying illegal missiles that he didn't have. My guess is that he used FedEx or UPS overnight from North Korea. <G>
