"War is failure." Well we do agree on some things. Like your President, I believe that the use of force to disarm Saddam should be a last resort. And I also agree with your President that more than 12 years of appeasement, with last chance, after last chance demands of the full UN being met with blatant lies, deception, denial & delays; that it is time to call an end to diplomacy & negotiations. Why? Because diplomacy with the Butcher of Baghdad was a complete failure. If war ensues, it is because every other reasonable means to disarm Saddam failed. And during the diplomatic process, Saddam tortured, raped & slaughtered hundreds of thousands of his own people. I can't stop thinking how many innocent Iraqi civilians will continue to be tortured, raped & slaughtered as long as this murderous thug remains in power. And I have a genuine fear that Saddam's relentless determination to maintain & build his WMD arsenal, his history of using WMD on his enemies & his own people & his irrefutable ties with terrorist organizations will someday result in them being used to slaughter many tens of thousands of innocent civilians. And war will be complete & utter failure........ if that is what Saddam chooses...... and the choice between war & peace is totally up to Saddam IMVHO. And I don't doubt for a second that you see your President & myself as bloodthirsty warmongers....... regardless of the irrefutable facts. And I do not recall you posting any quantity of meaningful discussions of the above discussed atrocities & how this problem needs to be resolved as urgently as the need to disarm the Butcher of Baghdad.
