Where was Bush on terrorism his first 9 months in office?
Completely AWOL. His people dismantled the Clinton counter-terrorism units, ignored warnings by Gary Hart, John Kerry and others, obsessed on SDI as his sole military issue, even scuttled FBI investigations into the Saudi Royal Family's funding of terrorism.

Clinton's people had a Pakistani covert ops hit squad training to go into Afghanistan and take out Osama. 9-11 pre-empted that. when CLinton lobbed Cruise missiles at Osama's training camps they missed but reported not by much. The problem was they had no permissions from Pakistan to use their territory for covert ops so missiles were the only option. That changed after 9-11 when Pakistan offered their territory in exchange for billions of bucks.

Also, the Bin Lauden family were co-investors in The Carlyle Group with the Bushes at the time. and those Bin Laudens were whisked out of the Boston (where the attacks began) and the US without interrogation on 9-11.

Bush may have had some success since 9-11, and we pray he has more, but he has a lot to answer for. Small wonder the 9-11 Commission has been under-funded, delayed and opposed by the White House.
