Dear AS: The Urban fighting is what I fear the most and frankly, would advise against it. My thought is we take all of IRAQ save Bagdad VERY QUCKLY, maybe even in days not weeks. We set up an interim Government in the FREE IRAQ zone, and isolate Bagdad, then we bomb the city with leaflets announcing the new government and offer safety and free passage to citizens wishing to escape and join FREE IRAQ. After a certain passage of time, we methodically reduce Bagdad to ashes. I see NO REASON to pay for Bagdad with American and British lives. jdn
