How about the FBI's complaint that Bush II (prior to 9-11) spiked any of their investigations into terrorism that approached the Saudis? How about way back into the Reagan/Bush years when the American Embassy in Saudi Arabia was issuing US passports to terrorists who did not meet the legal requirements for US passports... including numerous bin Laden associates? Don't blame poor Clinton just 'cause he didn't clean up all the mess Reagan/Bush left behind in the Middle East (Anthrax and chemical weapons precursors sold to Saddam, missiles to Iran, terrorists trained in the US....) In fact, It's quite fitting that Bush II has undertaken the goal of remaking the Middle East... because much of what he must do is fix the terrible mess that has grown out of the botched Middle-Eastern policies of his Daddy, and Reagan.
