OK, you're right, I was wrong for ridiculing him if he did indeed serve in Viet Nam. We should honor those who put their life on the line for our country (sometimes I do question our country's motives though). My whole life, I've been trying to come to terms with why we actually fought the Viet Nam war. It really seems like the most pointless war we have ever been involved in. I just wish that generation of Americans had figured out the futility of Viet Nam a lot sooner and brought the war to an end. And it does anger me that the Dick Chenney's of the world avoided military service. Elitism at it's finest.
