The renouncing of international treaties began Hitler's push. Where will NATO and the UN be in a year?

Tiger--I don't think people fully know that. Recommend you keep chipping away on that point. You are correct, there is a parallel.

Here's two things that happened recently that I think Hitler would do:

1) Mid-level government intelligence officials recently leaked a memo showing the US spying on UN Security Council members. Hitler would use his sway in the media to make sure the story doesn't get center play.

2) Hitler would have stolen the American media, as Powell did, when the Iraqi ambassador began his presentation.

I accidentally discovered this. My girlfriend was at the computer doing stock stuff, I was on the couch watching the C-SPAN coverage of the UN Securiety Council meeting. She got a phone call and began talking loudly. To hear the meeting, I got up and went into another room where a tv was already one. When I got to the other room I didn't see the Iraqi ambassador--I saw Powell. I switched through CNN, MSNBC and Fox and there was only Powell. Meanwhile, the Iraqi ambassador was making a reasonably good presentation in defense of his nation.

Whether we agree with the Iraqi ambassador, I believe that we, as concerned Americans citizens, should have, at a minimum, had the right to hear what the Iraqi ambassador was presenting to the UN Security Council. We wuz robbed not by Saddam, but the Bush administration's orchestration of the American media. Sorta like what Hitler would have done.
