Even my one with the ABC correction has such a long and flat wave C we don't eventually go down very low. So that is what is making me think the triangle is correct. That will be a short sharp correction to come in the next week or two and then up and away. What was my preferred scenario could drag on for months.

Your target for the big rally C is conservative. Based on 1.618*A (Oct to Dec) I get 1900 or so on the COMPX.

It's kind of ugly but it still says "buy me I'm a wedge".

I think I might load the boat and just not watch the market for four months so I don't screw up and sell too soon like I did in november.

<<I do not want to be short when this thing takes off.>>

Exactly. Given that the war will be starting in the next 6 trading sessions, I've opted out of the bear camp for now. Risk reward is just too high to be short here. It's not that any of the underlying fundamentals will really change (debt, employment and deficits) but the bull/clown camp will take to the "news" of our glorious triumph over the forces of evil like a crack addict to a mainlined dose of crystal meth...they'll be bouncing off the walls before they finally expire of their own excess....

DISCLOSURE: NO short or put positions. LONG SPY's.
