This is not tolerable.. I have no love for these bastards any more than the next guy, nor do I have problems with slapping them around a bit.. But there are far more creative means of extracting information than resorting to brute force beatings...

No word on whether US personnel were involved, and I wonder what prompted these military officials to acknowlege this..

A leak by some military folks upset with CIA techniques??

But that's not how our military people are trained to do it...
