That was not a formal UN Security Council meeting where the subject on the table was the potential for war.

I do agree with you, however, regarding the press conference at the Vatican where the Iraqi official refused to respond to an Israeli journalist. He should have responded to the question.

Also, that was one question only. Powell could have, as did the other members, show the courtesy of remaining in the UN Security Council chambers. He knew full well that he moment he walked out the door that the US media would follow.

From a public relations standpoint, it was an A-1 job of manipulation of the media (remember, they've got Roger Ailes, FoxNews director, advising 'em)?
