If you listen to Dave, the mess is only the result of 12 of those 30 years...

Hey, Mr. 160 IQ, I clearly set out how these weak liberal presidents destroyed our foreign policy. Now, I can accept that you have a different opinion.

But do you have any facts? The reality is that LBJ, Carter, and Clinton were responsible for presiding over the worst foreign policy disasters in modern times. If you disagree, please try to explain. If you aren't able to explain, then just say so.

On the other hand, Nixon and Ford unwound LBJ's disaster. Reagan cleaned up Carter's. And now we've got George Bush ATTEMPTING to clean up Clinton's (I say attempting, because these messes may be well beyond what can be cleaned up in the brief term of a presidency).

Furthermore, how many examples of successful foreign policy can you point to that are based in liberalism? Look at the French right now -- total laughingstocks, NO COUNTRY would hesitate to threaten them today, because the French have backed themselves into a corner where they are defenseless (at least Germany's position is principled; the French position is based on corrupt political/economic concerns).
