It will probably have to be one of the consumer appliance makers. I am not sure the computer folks are capable of this. I agree, if anyone might come close it would be AAPL. But I doubt MSFT will ever succeed. I remember one of those first big Gateway monsters, the TV sets that supposedly combined TV viewing with the internet. It was awful. Clunky, hard to use, lousy video, etc. With the advent of HDTV and new monitor forms we should get there sometime soon. In the meantime, I like TIVO.
