The other jet headed for the White House crashed for no reason before it got close. The two jets aimed at civilian targets were completely successful, while the two aimed at government targets were almost complete failures. The FBI knew months before the attacks a bunch of Saudis were taking flying lessons, and all investigations along those lines were quashed. Warrants for another one of the attackers were refused. No fighters were scrambled until an hour after the last of the jets were down. A few days after the attacks letters containing anthrax from Fort Detrick were mailed to the press, and a few obnoxious Democrats, which were worded to implicate Iraq. The "war on terror" carefully avoided Saudi Arabia, where most of the attackers came from and who we have lucrative oil contracts with, and conveniently cleared out the Taliban who were the main obstacle to an oil pipeline to the West through Afganistan. The unprovoked war on Iraq has already caused oil prices to double, and once production is shut down, they'll go even higher and almost certainly cause the half trillion dollars in ANWR reserves to be opened to exploration by US oil companies. You figure it out. The most interesting thing I find about this message board is the remarkable degree of premeditated stupidity displayed by certain participants. It's the classic government bureaucrat style our country is famous for. I almost wonder if a Senate investigation into some of the participants activities prior to 9/11 might turn up anything interesting.
