Wifey and I had my newly wed brother and sister-in-law over
yesterday up from Long Island. They brought their wedding
video with them and we had fun watching it. They were
married this past November.

Anyhow, we were remarking how well the video was edited,
etcetera and they said, "Hey let us see your video."
Janine wasn't around back then. So we dusted it off and
put it in the VCR. Wifey and I haven't watched that video
probably in about 7-8 years I'd guess.

We could not believe how much we all have changed over
these past 10 years. Wow! Ten years really makes an
incredible difference. I mean we knew that, but seeing it
on video really made it hit home. So much in our lives
have changed.

We were both so much younger looking and thinner.
Styles have changed much more than I figured. Being a
person who really doesn't follow any sort of fashion rules
I was surprised to see the differences.

Then there were sad moments in the video.
There was an entire table full of people who are no longer
with us. Actually it was surprising to see how many people
had died since then. There was one very eerie part of the
video where we were all doing the Can-Can to the song New
York, New York and the video guy edited in footage of
various scenes of NY City like the Brooklyn Bridge and the
Empire State Building. It would fade in and out from us
dancing to scenes of the city. Suddenly there was a
picture of my college buddy Chris and the scene morphed
into a picture of the World Trade Center, the buildings
where he was killed on 9-11. That was really creepy and
sad.

Anyhow the video went on and on. We forgot how much fun
our wedding was. It seemed as if our wedding hit a peek
time in our extended family's life were everyone was
healthy enough to party it up like never before. I don't
think there ever was a wedding in our family that had as
many people up dancing and goofing off with each other.
Everybody was uninhibited. We really had a good band who
knew how to keep things going.

Andrea's grandmother must have danced the whole night. I
was out on the floor boogying with her on and off the whole
evening. Danced with her almost as much as Andrea.

Anyhow it got me thinking that I have a lot to do.
I have to try to make this next ten years all worth while
because they will be gone in a flash. I never realized how
quickly it goes by and how much changes.

I also want to try to get myself back into the shape I was
then.

Man-oh-man how time flies.
