Kerry-McCain mutual admiration society. McCain has been stabbed in the back by the Bush GOP so many times he's sick and tired of it. It would be a bold move if they run together. Edwards might be a better choice. But assuming Kerry is nominated McCain is definitely on the short list.

Remember when Gore was considering Kerry? McCain said "Kerry is tough, smart and a great debater. Therefore I recommend Gore not choose him as his running mate". McCain also said if Gore had chosen Kerry he would have had a hard time campaigning for Bush. Kerry and McCain went back to McCain's old prison cell in North Vietnam and McCain wept. Their common ground is deep and personal. They have sponsored several big bills together. They will continue working together.
