Yes, actually, I do. I think, as a condition of normalizing economic and diplomatic relations with Cuba, among other things, we should require that all political prisoners be freed. But how credible is that demand, when we have given 600 prisoners life sentences in 6-by-8 cages at Guantanamo, in a totally non-judicial process? What the Hawks don't acknowledge, is that actions have secondary and tertiary consequences, and we weaken our position by not following our own rules. Maybe we could offer a prisoner exchange with Castro: he sends 600 political prisoners to Miami, and we let him have our political prisoners (err, prisoners of war, umm, illegal combatants, ahhh, violent criminals, whatever you want to call them).
