Vic old buddy, you're losing your cool and getting all emotional on us. Throwing little tizzy fits is unattractive in small children and even more so in grown ups. Take a deep breath son and do try to get yourself back under control.

<<<The savage arab terrorists on the jet that crashed near pittsburgh were overpowered by some passengers who found out what was going on from talking to relatives on their cell phones.>>>

Yes, I recall seeing some unsubstantiated theories along those lines. The only problem is if the passengers had actually overpowered the hijackers, then there would have been some contact with the control towers, and some effort to land the jet safely without killing everyone on board. The theory also doesn't account for how passengers were able to gain access to the cockpit, without tools of any kind, once the hijackers gained control of the jet and presumably locked themselves in so they wouldn't be disturbed.

Whatever spin you want to put on it, the fact remains that both jets targeted at the White House went out of control and crashed before reaching their objective. Considering how devastatingly effective the attacks on the civilian targets were, it's hard to account for why the White House was untouched. My guess is a small charge next to some of the lines or wires inside the jet would be enough to cause a crash short of their target. Since the jets were meant to crash anyhow, it didn't really matter where they crashed as long as they didn't hit the White House. It just had to "look" like the White House was threatened because it would be a little hard to believe that "savage Arab terrorists" would fail to go after anything other than office buildings after stealing a bunch of airplanes.
