Actually, I'd rather eat cooked to order Arab food than MREs any day of the week, assuming they leave out the sheep's eyeballs and camel meat, which I doubt you can find in Cuba.

Kibbi, falafel, shwarma, kebob, stewed lamb, biryani, yummmm.

Actually biryani isn't exactly Arab but the local Middle Eastern restaurants serve it, so I sort of lump all that stuff in together, from Lebanon to Afghanistan the food is very similar, and very good.

Actually from Greece to India there is a lot of overlap, and if you start from Italy and go East on the Silk Road, a lot of overlap, as well.

Someday in the future, we may be seeing Arab/Cuban fusion food. That sounds cool to me, since Spanish culture already fused with Middle Eastern culture once.

Guess it's time for supper, writing this and thinking about it is making my stomach growl.
