Yeah, I took her for a nut, too. I refuse to believe that God would expect that kind of behavior. Did I mention that her job is a school guidance counselor? Sheesh!

If they had gotten a radical and obnoxious PETA or Earth First member on the show, it would probably have looked just as ugly.

No doubt. But if one mocks them, one is not at risk of a charge of religious bigotry or civil rights violations. The pursuits of animal lovers and environmentalists are not protected and we are free to treat obnoxious behavior with whatever negativity we see fit short of violence. There has to be some point at which we no longer have to tolerate religious pursuits. I've long since drawn the line well inside of chicken blood, rapturous trances, faith healing, and the like. But then again, I've also been accused of religious bigotry.
