What kind of a man would look at a woman who had been raped, and tell her that the solution to rape is learning that all men are brothers? What kind of a man would tell the parents of a child who was murdered that it's wrong to demonize murderers? Why don't you go talk to the rapists and the murderers? They are the ones who need conversion. But maybe they aren't exactly receptive, and it's easier to sit in ones, yes, well padded chair, and rant behind ones computer screen.
