The Pope is a man who took a bullet and forgave the man who shot him. The Pope still hopes that even Sadam should be given an opportunity to redeem himself. Your statement is in what I call a narrow technical sense correct. But I'd suggest the walk of this Pope gives an insight into his heart of forgivness and I see the law being laid out clearly with no compromise, but I don't see any haste to judge any individual. And if my Pope does not and as I understand the life of Our Lord, I avoid judging as often as I can.
