U.S. military involvement over the past 105 years is rife with examples of provacative actions which the U.S. government either concocted or just let happen because they had an agenda to get us involved in a war. You'd think the American public would learn from history and get a clue. Shows you what mindless zombies they really are.

Starting with the bombing of a U.S. naval ship near Havana, Cuba to get public opinion behind the Spanish/American war in 1898 (was it done by American agent provocatures?). To, escorting British ships to provoke an attack by the Germans to get us involved in WW1. To Pearl Harbor which many believe, and there certainly is some circumstanial evidence to indicate so, that FDR enticed the Japanese to bomb Pearl Harbor in order to draw us into WW2 (I believe FDR knew the attack was coming). To the Gulf of Tonkin incident (which might not have even happened) which was brought on by U.S. provocation off the coast of North Viet Nam and led to the resolution which authorized LBJ to ramp up the Viet Nam war effort (what a mess that became). To our enticing the Russians to invade Afganistan back in 1979 by supporting a coup by radical muslims interested in taking over that country. To our buildup of Saddam Huessein's regime in the 1980s, which gave him the firepower to easily run over Kuwait in 1990, just to have the U.S. kick him out and permanently station troops there.

And now we have this 9/11 and War on Terrorism. As if the most powerful intelligence agency in the world, the CIA, didn't have a clue the 9/11 attacks were coming, even though at least 4 or 5 other intelligence agencies from Isreal to Pakistan warned them of immintent attacks by Osama Bin Laden and despite the FBI's field personal writing memos regarding arab terrorists training to fly? Then the actions, or more like lack of actions, on the actual day of the attacks 9/11 by our "leaders" and military. The head of the Joints Chiefs of Staff, who's primary duty is defending this country, just sits through a meeting with Senator Max Cleland while the country is under attack?!? It really makes you wonder what was going through their minds that fateful day. Odd behavior, considering the circumstances.
