<<...AL QAEDA'S VIDEOTAPED SCHEME TO MASSACRE SCHOOLKIDS...>>

Another reason to be patient and NOT rush into a war with Iraq and stir up a hornets nest over in the Middle East...I agree with Colonel Hackworth that you should secure your homeland before going into an elective battle...we know the CIA has said that The United States will face a higher risk of terrorist attacks if we invade Iraq...Are we prepared?...Not according to Rudman and Hart who studied the homeland security issue in great detail (in fact, former Sentator Hart just emphasized how vulnerable we are the other night in an interview on FOX News).

>>>AL QAEDA'S VIDEOTAPED SCHEME TO MASSACRE SCHOOLKIDS<<<

nypost.com

On page 40 of my book, I wrote...
Kids spend most of their time away from home at school. You need to know your child's school emergency plan. Find out now. During emergencies, telephone lines to schools are overwhelmed. Knowing the school's plan will help you determine your own plans to get the kids back in your control.

Here are three recent quotes to think about.

"As with any emergency, local authorities may not be able to immediately provide information on what is happening and what you should do."

"quickly decide what is the fastest escape from the chemical threat."

"In the event of a biological attack, public health officials may not immediately be able to provide information on what you should do."

All three quotes are from the new Homeland Defense website www.ready.gov.
And I thought Americans might get some real guidance there.

It is clear to me that hostilities are very close to full blown breakout. We are all concerned about our family's safety. The authorities are telling us not to depend on them for quick answers and to quickly decide how to escape. They just don't give any specifics on how to do that. It is up to each of us to prepare.

While I do not agree with all of it...some of the advice at ready.gov is sound. More advice for families can be found at Red Cross.org.
