The boom in 1980's and 1990's was an extreme bumble,
now we are in the hangover stage, and IMO and others,
there is very little anything can be done about except
wait.

Now the 80s was a bubble too?

I assume the 70s was not a bubble, or maybe it was?

Imo too many people are blaming WAY too much on this bubble. Its an easy out for the Bush people, but its getting to the point where it won't work anymore. THe reason the 80s and 90s were good is that US productivity exploded and that metric is actually improving here, not declining. So I don't much subscribe to the "nothing we can do" mantra about this economy- but one thing is for sure, the fact that we have gas prices at $2.25 is Bush's making and Bush's alone. Very bad judgement, not timely, if you ask me.
