I do not believe there is a single poster here who lacks humanity, but for some the coming war seems to exist as an intellectual exercise only.

Well said. My thoughts exactly.

My other concern is that the average American is still relying on someone else (the ubiquitous authorities) to take care of them when things go South and simultaneously ignoring the messages from Homeland Defense not to rely on them for answers and solutions when the attacks resume.

Notice and watch the posting carefully. The most fearful and those with the highest demands for homeland defense seem to coming from those who have little or no experience with war. They no doubt have done little or nothing to prepare to survive.

I am not talking about fighting either. I am talking about being prepared to survive an attack while at home or work and having a plan to be a first-mover and survive if evacuation becomes necessary.

I attended two meetings with retired and active duty Special Forces personnel at Ft Bragg, NC yesterday. Everyone I spoke to there has such plans with the necessary supplies, and a family communications and reunification plan.

Cat, the intellectual exercise you refer to is about to come to a screeching halt. While I hope it halts before the shooting starts, my family will be here to fight as necessary.
This is my country. I plan to survive any initial attack and will be prepared to actively participate in any homeland hostilities. I will never give up one of our freedoms without a fight.

My message to the pacifists is when the shooting starts duck... because lots of Americans are fighters, bullets will be going in both directions, and friendly fire is not friendly.
