But the even worse blunder was not giving yourself a way out, and that was Bush's undoing.

He didn't keep his mouth shut and announced war. Then he went before the UN, they said no (simple reverse psychology at play here)... and the Bush admin was then completely screwed and here we are in this war stalemate which has gone on for months and may well push us into a double dip.

This is where some people that previously supported Bush, deserted him. I don't think the tech executives around here will support a second term for Bush. The asian order situation is especially bad, Korea with Bush in office makes all the asian countries think wwIII is around the corner.
