<<<And now they are afraid. Who will tell them convincingly that the United States is as it was, a beacon of liberty, security, and justice for the planet? >>>
And as we stand today, x-raying people and luggage, inspecting shoes, scanning for explosives of people boarding airplanes. Furnishing pilots with guns, re-inforcing cabin doors, banning flights over stadiums and capitals. Installing bio sensors in buildings, searching people attending sporting events. Installing Patriot batteries around
important facilities. Micro-waving letters before opening them
That is some Beacon, some Liberty
The Administration is working to change that, and I appreciate it greatly, when I see that none of my neighbors have done anything at all to change their daily routine. Not even to stock up on supplies, on duct tape, on plastic
I am convinced that only the Administration can provide some defense against the kind of threat we face.
Presenting viable alternate solutions may be valuable, but I think it is not appropriate to prevent them from acting or in trying to make their work more difficult

Another humanitarian has spoken and walked away from this impending debacle

What on God's earth makes these people "humanitarians" ?

If they were true humanitarians, they would be serving in the Peace Corp ....

Or serving overseas with the Red Cross ....

Or perhaps adopting an Afghan orphan ....

I have yet to see the pacifists on this board actually post anything constructive to humanity. All I see is whining, crying and wringing of hands .... oh my.
