Eisenhower warned us against inflated power of the military-industrial complex if they ever get in total control. We are close to that now.

The Bush Chickenhawk Machine does not have a heart. It's war now is based on the opinions of a few key Bush advisors and no one else. The GOP follows because they're loyal but even they know their argument is shaky and full of holes and "what ifs?". It's a elitist war for the few, the elite and oil-weapons industries and Israel. It's not for or about the American People or our safety. Saddam is all but harmless to us the way he is now trapped in his box.

It also sets a terrible precedent. Now what is to stop China from unilaterally moving on Taiwan? Or Russian on Georgia? Or whomever on whomever? Bush's arrogance and lack of respect for world peace and opinion makes the world a more dangerous place, not less dangerous. And that doesn't even take into account the astounding economic damage all this is having, espcially the financial burden on us. And the risk of having half our military stuck in one hostile region halfway around the world. Malaise is truly back.

The good news is we can change that quickly by replacing Bush in 2004.
