Did you know Michael Moore was a marksman and member of the NRA. His documentary was not a slam on America but on the way Americans use guns. Everyone posting here, no matter for or against war, believes in and loves America.

My own friends in France know the difference between a satire by the likes of Michael Moore and what life is really like here, though possibly they're an exception as they've all travelled widely enough, including to the USA, to have a first hand view of things.

I'm more likely to take ribbing about the lamentable food situation in the USA than any flack over guns or violence.

Lots of people in France do have rather stereotypical views of life in the US, but how much do some folks in the US know about even Western Europe ?
