U.S. National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice rejected Mr. Chrétien's rationale, saying Saddam has not been put in a box.

"The problem with the notion of containment is that, first of all, it isn't working," Ms. Rice said on the same program. She says it's not working but she doesn't say why. Using her method of argument, I can say unequivocally, she's the gecko from Geico.
