It doesn't take much for you do declare something an entirely 'new' industry, does it? (And thus be justified in making claims on the US treasury, and massive subsidies to free it from the free markets.) How about a factory to make 'buggy whips' out of nylon? THERE'S a whole 'new' industry! No, wait, how about bioengineering? Let's cross sugar beets with mohair sheep to grow beets with hair! That way we can apply for both SUGAR PRICE SUBSIDIES, and MOHAIR PRICE SUPPORTS. I think we have a winner! Where can I sign up for my taxpayer-paid subsidies? I wanna feed at the troth too!
