I read that the Iraqi soldiers tried to surrender to Brits and were sent back… Mq says those were Americans. Whoever did it, imho this is scandalous. Instead of offering those poor slobs protection and pumping them for intelligence - and, perhaps, creating a precedent of Iraqi soldiers turning around and fighting against the dictator – they were forced to go back, probably to be tortured and killed. I hope that the report is incorrect and that this episode actually didn’t happen.

I am worried that we have not activated enough MP units to take care of the prisoner load.

A number of reserve MP units were activated for immediate deployment in last week's call-up. They are shipping now.

More important...Ft Bragg, NC home of the 82nd Airborne Division and Special Forces looked empty yesterday.
