Ok, I see the Appeal, has any Bishop put teeth in it as Davis's Bishop did concerning abortion?

In his interview with Russert, Liveshot Kerry says this:

When you’re alive and you’re deprived of your freedom each day and you’re in tough circumstances—and I’m talking about tough circumstances. I’m not talking about some cushy situation where they live off the fat of the land in prison. I’m talking about tough.

I have said as much on this very thread. a tough life in prison I could live with. NO dang country clubs. BUT...then notice what Kerry says when Russert asked about the death penalty laws in the various states:

It’s fought state for state by state prosecutors. That’s where it’s done. And I would honor, obviously, the laws of those states and that’s the way we should proceed.

and then a little later, Liveshot says this: The law of the land is the law of the land, but I have also said that I am for the death penalty for terrorists because terrorists have declared war on your country.

so you see, it is back to politics of pleasing everyone with him...a mom's child gets hacked up with a razor and raped as she is killed, and Kerry says 'life without parole, becasue death is not moral....but someone gets killed by a terrorist, and it is moral then to kill him.
