Well why does Blair have his nose so far up Bush's a$$ For one, because the only thing the UK has in common with the EU is geography. Thus, economically Britain stands to develop nicely as a "gateway" between the US and Europe, sitting in the middle of both of these economic entities. They certainly don't want European nations like France and Germany to pillage their pension funds to cover their own impending deficits.. I would like to know that. Blair could have been the voice of reason here - he has talent. Indeed.. he is pretty smooth.. And I think he has been a voice of reason here..
