My grandfather immigrated to Canada first and then went back. After he got out he was a drill instructor in the RCMP and had this work out regime with Indian clubs. Incredible cook as well, especially pastries. I remember watching him and his brother lift a cast iron stove when they were old men and carrying it down three flights of stairs. Another time someone smacked one of his kids and he walked over to his house and shook him like a rag doll (so as not to leave a bruise) for five minutes. The most amazing thing was his infatuation with Glady Cooper and old time actress and he carried around post cards and notes from her until the end of his life. geocities.com
