Please Lizzie,

Buffet is far more than an investor. He has steadily built his insurance operations in to one of the largest insurance conglomerates in the world. Anyone that only looks at the investment side of operation and ignores what he has accomplished, and is still accomplishing, in the insurance business is missing a large part of the picture imo. He has extraordinary long term vision and managerial skills.

they spent forever talking about Sees candies.

Warren didn't write The Warren Buffet Way, so he can hardly be held responsible for its content, but nonetheless, I just briefly scanned through the book again, and can only find one mention of Sees Candies---on page 11. Are you sure you read this book?

Regards, Huey

Great post, Lizzie. Buffet is indeed quite different from most investors in the stock market. He is in no way a Peter Lynch, for example. He has always used his ability to step into a troubled situation in a massive way to profit, something most investors can't and wouldn't do.
