.(someone musta whacked him with a truth serum dart). Lotta that going 'round now. Whaddaya make of it? First Greenboink on housing, now Poole on FNM - are they trying to avoid being the fall guys? Or have they actually concluded that enough of the obvious bubbles have unwound that they can begin to deflate the housing bubble and credit bubble? They must realize that history will not deal with them kindly unless they can gradually get the economy out of this position. EDIT: Have they actually said anything lucid regarding the structured finance or derivatives bubbles? BC
