Actually, AJ, there is much in that article with which I concur. However, it is intended to be one-sided, so by necessity it presents a deal of bias...as well as a dearth of perspective. Having said that: we HAVE made a lot of mistakes; and mixed economy socialism has urged complacency as to our leaders. Unfortunately, the attitude which has constrained arrogance has also softened our pride. However, I am not yet prepared to throw out the baby with the bath. We are a Nation which respects and values the poor, the sick, and the afflicted. There is much to be recommended in that...
