Canada spends nothing on defense, has the health care system you pine for, and our health care system with all its problems is STILL far better.

I agree, I would like SOME FORM of National POOL of insurance that people could BUY INTO if they didnt have access to a pool at work (example early retirees like myself), but it isnt fair to blame the fact we dont have it on Bush, many Presidents have gone before him, no war and still NO NATIONAL POOL. Since it would cost the Govt NOTHING under my scenario, I have to believe War or no War we COULD HAVE a national pool IF they were so desired. But I fear the insurance lobby has kept it out. jdn
