Some members of adult society are more afraid of being labeled 'intolerant' than whether or not behavior is harmful or destructive vs merely unusual. I can't argue with that. These are the same types that fall prey to bullying as five year olds. However, not all who don't want to be labeled "intolerant" are being bullied. Some simply value tolerance and don't want to be among the prejudiced. I disagree with you that the meaning of the word has been corrupted. Maybe I just haven't been paying attention, but I don't recall seeing the word misused. I agree that PC is corrupt, but I don't think anyone claims PC is about tolerance. It's about sensitivities.
