I am embarrassed for the image of the US Bush is presenting to the world. It flies in the face of everything we have stood for these past 100 years.

Did you catch Tom Friedman's speech to the John's Hopkins center for international studies this weekend? I recommend that you look for CSPAN programming and watch a re-run if they have one.

Also, Kerry spoke in New Hampshire and it was televised on CSPAN2...I can't wait to see a debate between he and Bush next year.

Ted RE... It flies in the face of everything we have stood for these past 100 years.

How so? The US has always stood firm against evil dictators given the chance. It is you liberals who seem to love dictators who torture and gas their subjects. As far as preemptive, does Libyia, Grenada, Panama sound familiar to you. One could say, all the wars of liberation were pre emptive, as NK, and Vietnam attacked our allies, but not us directly.

All the work that has been done to make the UN a creditable organization; and Bush acts as if its a major inconvenience.

What a joke. The UN has never been credible. How about the great job the UN did in Bosnia, or how about Rawanda. Even in the 91 Gulf war, the only credible war the UN was involved in in fifty yrs, was botched, because the terms the UN set, forbade us going to Bagdhad, and the UN has for 12 yrs, been unable to get Saddam to comply with the peace terms. And to top it off, the sanctions, and the positioning of American troops in SA, are 2 prime reasons for OBL jihad.
