Thanks for your concern. I spoke to tech support at dell and they could not help. I searched the message boards and found other Dellers looking for the same drive at no avail.
I didn't get a very helpful response after directly contacting NEC.

Used Googe & Alltheweb.com to search for drivers( and found out that Dell tech support was also searching the web to try and find the drivers!)

I just bought a new Dell and plan on migrating the info over from my old (present) Dell and then reformat the hard drive of the old (present) computer. I will try to network the computers after that (first time trying to network)
