The pattern is, the Feds will insist on a Rolls Royce policy covering everything under the sun, so that it will be so expensive that no one can afford it, so they will have to come in and subsidize it, and since they subsidize it they feel they need to write even more rules, which create loop holes for the unscrupulous to exploit, which leads to scandal, which leads to more rules and bureaucrats and expense so it is even more unaffordable which leads for more subsidies.......

Until The People demand Socialized Medicine. Then we will all die in the waiting room but everyone will be equal.

Well, if the goal is to provide the most service at the cheapest cost the smart thing to do is to expand Medicare to all ages but have anyone under 65 pay the full premium. This cuts down on duplicating OVERHEAD and strengthens the pool of recipients. A WIN WIN to both parties IMHO. But, what do I know? jdn
