If this is an example of what Friedman said at J.Hopkins, then his message is far greater than simply invading Iraq.

I recommend you re-read this post carefully looking for the underpinnings. While he obviously disagrees with the methodology. The key words in this document (and important in his speech) are:


I heard that part of his speech; its you that needs to reread the context in which it is presented. His is hardly a strong call for invading of Iraq.

The chorus of voices objecting to this war grows with each passing day. Those are the voices I respect and not those in the GOP who beat their war drums incessantly. Already, Blair is calling for an extension to the 17 March deadline. He is a democratic leader forced onto the end of a branch and Bush is sawing it off as he sits.

We are not at war yet, and the bad far outweighs the good. Once gain, you best hope this war goes well for Bush.
