Could be. I think the bullion banks are spooking the bugs out of gold stocks in a last attempt to drive gold lower (i.e., they are accumulating shares as a hedge against their gold short position), exactly opposite to what hedge funds are doing (popular trade is to hedge futures longs with gold stocks short). Funds are usually on the wrong side, so after this shakeout, shares are going much higher. People are just starting to get out of the buck. Wait until this trend accelerates into an avalanche, which usually does happen.
