Jim, Has France been paid for all the "stuff" Saddam has armed himself with? Saddam owes billions of dollars to France and Russia. Joe

Jim Re..Has France been paid for all the "stuff" Saddam has armed himself with? Could this have something to do with France vetoing? Over time, I have come to the conclusion that France fears the US economically; The US has dominated Europe lately in growth rates; and France, along with Germany has decided that the EU needs to be stronger, and bigger and more independent to overcome Amerca's aggressive business successes. Yes, the fact that France supplied some of the parts could be embarrassing, but not that embarrassing. I think both sides agree that this has gotten out of control, but neither has a face saving way out.
