The day they are posted, yes, they are of little value, because they are usually available elsewhere.

But as they get older, they do become more useful, as they tend to get deleted from their original location. Having news and press releases preserved in SI amber as they appeared at the time can be very interesting and/or amusing when viewed months or years later. Being able to use a reliable search engine against them would be really cool.

But the grubs should all be purged, no question!
